The Entire Cast of the Six Books

Hopefully, some day, these books are done well on the big screen. If I were casting director, here are the folks I'd want to bring this story to physical life. Characters that appear in multiple stories are only listed once, in the book that they first appear.

*Note: The cast is deliberately racially diverse keeping with the racial diversity a universe where the human population has spread beyond earth. I've chosen actors that I think embody the persona of character first and their described features second, so not all cast members embody Herbert's original descriptions.

  1. I really like Idris Elba, but to cast him as Bashar Miles Teg is just kooky. He looked identical to the Duke Leto. For this reason, he was used to awaken the Ghola Duncan Idaho. . . you didn't read the books, did ya?

  2. Wow. You've managed to be condescending and stupid in the same comment. Master Whaf? Is that you?

Apparently you think Teg's resemblance to Leto is essential to the story line. Fair enough. My opinion is when compared to how well I think Elba fits the persona of Teg I consider the resemblance issue less important and worth reimagining. I expect difference of opinion on this, which is why I said what I said at the top of this blog...you didn't read that part, did ya?
